Take the wheel and explore K’gari – Fraser Island at your own pace with our 3-Day 4WD Hire Swim in the turquoise waters of **Lake McKenzie,** float down **Eli Creek**, and soak in the bubbling **Champagne Pools**. Wander the **rainforest**, marvel at the **Maheno Shipwreck**, and drive past the rainbow cliffs of the **Coloured Sands**. You will also get to choose to see a few other Lakes - Birrabeen, Boomanjin, Garawongara, Basin or Allom. With a comfy base each night and the freedom of your own 4WD by day, it’s everything you need for an epic island escape. Driving Information
This is a 4WD Hire experience — you drive the 4WD yourself. Please read the driving requirements below before you book.
- Valid open manual/automatic driver licence (P2 or full). International visitors need their licence in English or an International Driving Permit.
- Kâgari is sand-only 4WD driving. No prior 4WD experience is needed for tag-along tours — your guide leads the way and briefs the convoy.
- Zero alcohol/drug tolerance for all drivers, and standard Queensland road rules apply on the island.
