Day 1
Undertake your (Pre-booked) 4WD safety briefing before departure to learn all you need to know about driving a 4WD on sand – no prior 4WD experience required. Discover your personalised itinerary, that coincides with the low tides on the Eastern beach. You will be able to explore a variety of sites, with plenty of time to relax and take in the scenery! Accommodation: Camping – Dome tent at Central Station Campsite (or similar) Sites to see on Day 2 could be: Please note all itineraries are tide dependent, so the order is subject to access to the eastern beach (Lake Mckenzie, Eli Creek, Lake Wabby, Central Station, Wangoolba Creek boardwalk)

Continue to explore the island before meeting the barge back to the mainland. Driving Information
This is a 4WD Hire experience — you drive the 4WD yourself. Please read the driving requirements below before you book.
- Valid open manual/automatic driver licence (P2 or full). International visitors need their licence in English or an International Driving Permit.
- Kâgari is sand-only 4WD driving. No prior 4WD experience is needed for tag-along tours — your guide leads the way and briefs the convoy.
- Zero alcohol/drug tolerance for all drivers, and standard Queensland road rules apply on the island.
