About This Tour

Join us on our unique beach house accommodated tag-along tour where you can visit all of the best sites on Fraser Island in a small group tour.  All inclusive, no hidden costs. ### Trip Includes: - Private beach house accommodation with quad share rooms at Eurong on K'gari's eastern beach. - Bathrooms with hot showers and toilets, communal decked area and kitchen with BBQ. - Beach access: relax on the white sand, play a game of beach volleyball, enjoy a beach walk, wildlife spotting at night, see the sunrise over the Pacific Ocean. - All meals provided - 3 lunches, 2 dinners, 2 breakfasts and snacks. Dietary requirements catered for: vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options (no extra cost). - Learn to 4WD on K'gari (drivers must be over 21 years of age with an open licence). No off-road driving experience necessary, you will be briefed and shown the correct 4WD skills. There is no pressure to drive, you are more than welcome to be a passenger! - Experienced knowledgeable lead guide. - National park permits and ferry transfer included. ### ### See the sites: - Visit all the iconic sites, Lake McKenzie, Central Station, Eli Creek, Maheno Shipwreck, plus more! - On this 3-day tour you will go as far as Champagne pools, where you can float in the sparkling waters. - Walk under the rainforest at Pile Valley. - 4WD along 75 Mile Beach to Indian Head. - Swim, splash or take a tube ride at Eli Creek. - Relax, play and swim at the beautiful blue Lake McKenzie or Lake Birrabeen. ### **Things to note:** - Driver safety briefing is at 7:30 am the morning of departure (accommodation pick up available from 7:00am). - Tour returns 5.00pm on the final day of the tour. - The trip itinerary can vary depending on weather and unforeseen circumstances i.e. track or beach access closures. - A credit card imprint is required for drivers (no funds held). - Luggage storage can be organised for $20 per backpack. - Secure vehicle storage is available for $60 for 3 days, however there are limited spaces available. - Free on-street car parking while you are away. - Free pick up from: ECO WOOLSHED, FLASHPACKERS HOSTEL, YHA (Colonial Village). - Eco-certified tourism operator, all vehicles are carbon off-set! ### ### **What to Bring:** - Small bag with swimwear and a change of clothes. - Hat, sunnies & sunscreen. - Warm clothes (Fraser Island can get cold at night time). - Camera, bluetooth speaker, phone charger. - Big smile & a sense of adventure and fun! - Alcohol (no spirits & no glass allowed) and snacks if you wish. ### **What is a Tag-along Tour?** This is an organised tour where the lead 4WD is driven by our experienced and knowledgeable guide. The following 4WD's are driven by you guys, the customers that nominate to drive on the tour. You don’t need experience driving a 4WD, our thorough safety briefing and experienced guide will make sure you are ready for a once in a lifetime driving experience! Customers tell us it is the best thing they have done in Australia! You must be 21 years of age or over to drive, but don’t worry if you are under 21, you can still come along as a passenger and experience the best 4WD adventure! **Limited availability and spaces, as per the booking calendar.** \*Minimum numbers are required to run the tour\*. DEPARTURE TIME (subject to change) PICKUPS START AT 7:00AM MEET AT OUR OFFICE AT 7:15AM DRIVERS (safety briefing) - Start at 7:30AM ### **Terms & Conditions** No cancellations, refunds or date changes within 7 days of departure date.  Credit card imprint is taken if you are intending to drive. The Tour Itinerary can change due to seasons, tides and weather conditions. If there is only 1 4WD vehicle due to low numbers or cancellations, you will not be able to drive the lead vehicle. You must be 21 years and over with an open drivers licence to drive. After booking, all passengers must reconfirm with the operator by 12pm the day prior to departure.  All people wanting to drive must reconfirm and attend the 7:30am safety briefing on the day of departure.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1 — ***Itineraries & meals are subject to change - this is just a sample of what can be achieved on a 3 day tour***

- Driver safety briefing at 7:15am at our office - 6 Southern Cross Circuit Urangan - HERVEY BAY - Barge/Ferry departure at 9:00am - Arrive K'gari Fraser Island by 10:00am - Arrive at our Beach House (Eurong) K'gari Fraser Islands Eastern Beach by 12:30pm for LUNCH - Sandwiches with Salad and Cold meat. In the afternoon see Lake Wabby (emerald lake in the surrounded by sand dunes) 5km return walk OR Lake Birrabeen if the tide is too high. - Return to our Beach house to relax, showers and dinner (Chicken Curry and rice or Pesto Pasta Bolognese). Night walk to the beach to see the stars (weather permitting)

Day 2 — ***Itineraries & meals are subject to change - this is just a sample of what can be achieved on a 3 day tour***

- Wakeup for sun rise over the beach (optional) - Breakfast - Continental (cereal, muesli, yogurt and fruit /Bread and spreads) - Depart early for the big beach drive day. (Weather and tide permitting) - Eli Creek, Maheno Ship Wreck, Pinnacles, Cathedral Beach, Lake Allom, Champagne Pools - We have lunch (salad and cold meat/falafel wraps) at Cathedral Beach or Lake Allom depending on tide. - - Return to the beach house accommodation via K'gari Beach Resort to make a stop at the shop for any drinks etc - - Dinner: Chicken Pesto, Pasta Bolognese served with garlic bread veggie and vegan options available - - Night walk optional

Day 3 — - Wake up for another Sun rise over the Eastern Beach of Kgari

- Breakfast - Eggs, toast and Beans or Continental (cereal, muesli, yogurt and fruit /Bread and spreads) - Pack up and get ready to depart for the last day - Lake Day - Lake McKenzie - depart by 11:30am - Central Station Wangoolba Creek board walk, Lunch (salad and cold meat/falafel wraps) - Arrive Kingfisher Resort or Wangoollba Creek by 2/2:30pm for the barge departure at 2:30/3pm - Arrive back to our depot in Hervey Bay by 4pm ** Please note limited drop offs available as 1 guide can only drop approx 8pax. We do not drop to the bus station, please organise a taxi if you are going to the bus station.

Driving Information

This is a Tag-Along 4WD experience — you drive the 4WD yourself as part of a guided convoy. Please read the driving requirements below before you book.

  • Valid open manual/automatic driver licence (P2 or full). International visitors need their licence in English or an International Driving Permit.
  • K’gari is sand-only 4WD driving. No prior 4WD experience is needed for tag-along tours — your guide leads the way and briefs the convoy.
  • Zero alcohol/drug tolerance for all drivers, and standard Queensland road rules apply on the island.
