About This Tour

Join us on our unique beach house accommodated tag-along tour where you can visit all of the best sites on Fraser Island in a small group tour. MAX 20 PEOPLE! All inclusive, no hidden costs.  ### Trip Includes: - Private beach house accommodation with quad share rooms at Eurong on K'gari's eastern beach. - Bathrooms with hot showers and toilets, communal decked area and kitchen with BBQ. - Beach access: relax on the white sand, play a game of beach volleyball, enjoy a beach walk, wildlife spotting at night, and see the sunrise over the Pacific Ocean. - All meals provided- 2 lunches, 1 dinner, 1 breakfast and snacks. Dietary requirements are fully catered for, including vegetarian, pescatarian, allergies, vegan, gluten-free, and lactose-free options. All meals can be adjusted at no extra cost. An optional $5/day charge applies for additional snacks or specialty items (e.g. vegan cheese, dairy-free coconut yogurt, gluten-free wraps). You're also welcome to bring your own snacks if preferred. - Learn to 4WD on K'gari (drivers must be over 21 years of age with an open licence). No off-road driving experience necessary, you will be briefed and shown the correct 4WD skills. There is no pressure to drive, you are more than welcome to be a passenger! - Experienced, knowledgeable lead guide. - National park permits and ferry transfer included. ### ### See the sites: - Visit all the iconic sites, Lake McKenzie, Central Station, Eli Creek, Maheno Shipwreck, plus more! - Walk under the rainforest at Pile Valley. - 4WD along 75 Mile Beach. - Swim, splash or take a tube ride at Eli Creek. - Relax, play and swim at the beautiful blue Lake Mckenzie or Lake Birrabeen. ### ### Things to note: - Driver safety briefing is at 7:30am the morning of departure (accommodation pick up available from 7:00am). - Tour returns 6.00pm - 6:15 pm on the final day of the tour. - Our additional 2-day trips start on either Friday or Saturday, departing from our office at 6:00 AM and returning by 5:00 PM the following day. - The trip itinerary can vary depending on weather and unforeseen circumstances i.e. track or beach access closures. - We have an excess of $2500 per driver - This can be reduced to NIL by paying $50 per driver - OR freezing the funds of $2500 per driver travel group - Luggage storage can be organised for $20 per backpack. - Secure vehicle storage is available for $40 2 days, however, there are limited spaces available. - Free on-street car parking while you are away. - Free pick up from: ECO WOOLSHED, FLASHPACKERS HOSTEL, YHA (Colonial Village). - Eco-certified tourism operator, all vehicles are carbon off-set! ### ### What to Bring:   - Small bag with swimwear and a change of clothes. - Hat, sunnies & sunscreen. - Warm clothes (Fraser Island can get cold at night time). - Camera, bluetooth speaker, phone charger. - Big smile & a sense of adventure and fun! - Alcohol (no spirits & no glass allowed) and snacks if you wish. ### ### What is a Tag-along Tour?  This is an organised tour where the lead 4WD is driven by our experienced and knowledgeable guide. The following 4WDs are driven by you guys, the customers that nominate to drive on the tour. You don’t need experience driving a 4WD, our thorough safety briefing and experienced guide will make sure you are ready for a once in a lifetime driving experience! Customers tell us it is the best thing they have done in Australia! You must be 21 years of age or over to drive, but don’t worry if you are under 21, you can still come along as a passenger and experience the best 4WD adventure! #### Limited availability and spaces, as per the booking calendar.  \*Minimum numbers are required to run the tour\*. DEPARTURE TIME (subject to change) PICKUPS START FROM 7:00AM MEET AT OFFICE 7:15AM DRIVERS (safety briefing) - Start at 7:30AM ### Terms & Conditions No cancellations, refunds or date changes within 7 days of departure date. We have an excess of $2500 per driver - this can be reduced to NIL by paying $50 per driver - OR freezing the funds of $2500 per driver travel group The Tour Itinerary can change due to seasons, tides and weather conditions. If there is only 1 4WD vehicle due to low numbers or cancellations, you will not be able to drive the lead vehicle. You must be 21 years and over with an open drivers licence to drive. After booking, all passengers must reconfirm with the operator by 12pm the day prior to departure. All people wanting to drive must reconfirm and attend the 7:30am safety briefing on the day of departure.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1 — **Itineraries can very due to tide and barge departure times**

**Possible Example Only ** Barge(Ferry) departure 9AM Arrive K'gari Fraser Island aprox. 10am 4WD via sand track and through the rainforest to Central Station - Central Station Wangoolba Creek Boardwalk (Rainforest) Lunch at the accommodation (salad and cold meat sandwiches) After lunch activities could be Emerald Lake Wabby; Eli Creek or Lake Birrabeen - all depending on tides. Arrive to Beach House at Eurong to cook up a yummy meal (Fish Teriyaki Stir Fry or Chicken Pasta Bolognese) Vegetarian options always supplied.

Day 2 — Breakfast (cereal, muesli, fruit and yogurt or bread with spreads)

After Breakfast activities could be Emerald Lake Wabby; Eli Creek or Lake Birrabeen - all depending on tides. Picnic Lunch (wraps with salad and cold meet or falafels) Before heading into beautiful Lake McKenzie (Boorangoora) for the afternoon. Then head back to the barge/ferry around 3:30pm to depart at 5pm. We depart from the Kingfisher Resort barge landing, while waiting for the ferry there is opportunity to have a drink or get a coffee at the Jetty hut or Sand Bar. Arrive back at our office at 6 pm.

Driving Information

This is a Tag-Along 4WD experience — you drive the 4WD yourself as part of a guided convoy. Please read the driving requirements below before you book.

  • Valid open manual/automatic driver licence (P2 or full). International visitors need their licence in English or an International Driving Permit.
  • K’gari is sand-only 4WD driving. No prior 4WD experience is needed for tag-along tours — your guide leads the way and briefs the convoy.
  • Zero alcohol/drug tolerance for all drivers, and standard Queensland road rules apply on the island.
