From Rainbow Beach (southern access)

From Hervey Bay (northern/central access)

- From Brisbane: Rainbow Beach and Hervey Bay are both roughly a 3.5–4 hour drive north. Coach and rail connections also serve the Fraser Coast.
- From the Sunshine Coast / Noosa: Rainbow Beach is around 1.5–2 hours' drive.
- By air: Hervey Bay has a regional airport with flights from Brisbane and Sydney.
